The Monster is a single line of 8,300 feet over the mountains of Orocovis, ridden face-down like a superhero at up to 95 mph. It's not near El Yunque, it's 1.5 hours inland, but if you want the longest single line on this site, this is it.

The Monster Zipline at ToroVerde

About this experience

ToroVerde is a nature adventure park in Orocovis, in the mountains in the middle of the island. Its headline ride is The Monster: 2,530 m (8,300 feet) of cable, which the park bills as the longest zipline in America, more than 380 m high. You ride face-down, and the park quotes speeds up to 95 mph.

The listing gives 1 hour 10 minutes in total, including an in-depth safety briefing, kitting out and a vertiginous suspension bridge to the start point. A 2024 reviewer found the ride too short and the climb to the top tiring, and a March 2026 guest rode in mist. Arrive for your slot between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Two points before you pay. There's no transport, and the listing puts the park about 1.5 hours from central San Juan; one August 2026 guest got to the tour late. And the park's own site lists The Monster at $114.99, below Viator's $133, and sells The Beast (4,745 feet, up to 60 mph) for $59.99. One reviewer suggests doing the Beast first so the Monster is your finale.

This experience was amazing! So amazing that my 20 year old spent his own money to go again! I am scared of heights but did it.. the workers were very helpful and gave great descriptions on what to expect. As soon as you are face down, the rest is ridiculously smooth.

Start with the Beast and end with the Monster so you finish on the highlight. Some sort of eye goggles (if you don't have eyewear) will be beneficial since you will hit speeds that can make your eyes tear up

Loved the experience. .I would do it again. The weather wasn't great, but that didn't stop the services. Although surroundings were misty, the views were mesmerizing.

  • Eat at the park restaurant. Guests praise the food, and one warns the portion was enough for two.
  • Leave slack in your day. One 2023 guest booked for 1 p.m. and rode at 3.
